Social Media Manager Internship
At the beginning of 2020, I had the pleasure of working with Kathryn Mobley of Balance: Well-Being Yoga and Consulting as her social media manager. She wanted a new and improved look for her studio's social media. One of my first suggestions was to start with a consistent color scheme as seen on the right and to move from there to start the rebrand. Another suggestion was to implement personal photos rather than stock images for posts and stories. Engagement would increase with getting to know the face behind the studio and she was on board.
A new logo was also requested with the requirements being minimal and modern. Below is her previous logo and and then next to it is the new logo.

With my goal being to get every aspect of her studio transferred to online, I created a Vimeo account for my client. She would send footage of her teaching a guided class and I would edit it them in full for the Vimeo account. I also was able to create teaser clips for her social media to entice others to buy a class through the website link on her socials. With the cross posting to Facebook and Instagram, my client grew 45 followers on Instagram via promotion and 10 new clients in online classes in one month.
My internship goal originally was to get my client's social media consistent in style and theme, but with COVID-19 shutting down her physical studio, we had to change course.
Everything needed to be moved online!
My new goal was to create an easy-access website for her clients to still attend their classes. Wixsite was our best bet for this transition.
The website was at first the pipeline to click on the class and attend virtually but grew into an online shop for merchandise as well as a place for testimonials and FAQs.
